Folle Époque
2020
Synopsis
Folle Époque celebrates the centenary of the Roaring Twenties and proposes to revisit this historical period considering the ambiguous and therefore difficult to define times we are living in. A series of hypothetical narratives that refer to both periods are brought to stage, placing them face-to-face with one another.
The 1920s merge into 2020, as in an interplay between real-reality and fictional-reality - in a kind of mise en abyme. The craziness of these times and their inherent excesses mirror the ethical and moral conflict of post-modernity.
