Do you truly believe the things you say? Do you believe everything you’ve said in this space? Do you? You don’t. And I don’t believe you. And yet we have been in love for all this time. Maybe I’d repeat it. Maybe tomorrow. Searched all night, mad, for a lie and an illusion. And here it is – a fake weapon.
SillySeason is an artistic collective, formed in 2012 by Cátia Tomé, Ivo Saraiva e Silva and Ricardo Teixeira, with the mission of constantly searching for new creation models in the fields of theatre and performing arts. Together, they have been contributing for the production and development of new dramaturgies, always reflecting on what theatre is or what it can potentially be. They create artistic objects that challenge their own usual logics, and pair them with a structure that mirrors the many facets of a performance. Their work is mainly focused on the notion of crisis, which they have been trying to demystify by proposing new dimensions of social, political, and historical nature, to consolidate the increasingly urgent discourse about our future.
Throughout the years, SillySeason have been developing a collaborative work based on networking, contacting with artists from different fields, and with various professional structures and institutions.
SillySeason is a structure financed by Direção Geral das Artes – República Portuguesa.
Ao longo do seu percurso, os SillySeason têm procurado um trabalho em colaboração e em rede, contactando com diversos artistas de diferentes áreas, com várias estruturas e instituições distintas.
