Macbeth
2026
Synopsis
MACBETH transports timeless themes—boundless ambition, the corruption of power, and moral erosion—into the contemporary era, reimagining them within a universe where intimacy is constantly exposed, judged, and consumed. In this adaptation based on Shakespeare, the characters' tragic trajectories unfold under the watchful gaze of a voyeuristic audience, in a format evoking the logic of the reality shows that defined the early 21st century. Amidst power struggles, emotional manipulation, and the drive to rise, the narrative reveals how the thirst for recognition and control can warp identities and relationships, blurring the line between the private self and public spectacle. Any resemblance to current political and social scrutiny is no coincidence: it serves as a disturbing mirror of our own reality, where unbridled ambition remains the engine of downfall.
